Workshops/presentations
To date I have given many workshops and presentations on behalf of charity organisations including Cambridge Deaf Association, DeafPlus, British Deaf Association Northern Ireland, Deafinitely Women, etc.
Services include:
Presentation on a specific nutritional topic
45mins& 15 mins Q&A session
This is a great way for the audience to learn more about nutrition-related topics. This is a perfect opportunity for participants to learn about how unhealthy eating can impact on a specific health concern, and to making improvements to their diet. Topics so far have included IBS management; how to support one’s immune system; understanding the menopause; and how to eat well on a low budget.
Interactive quizzes
30mins& 15 min Q&A session
This can be used in combination with the presentation, or as a stand-alone. Sometimes a more interactive presentation can encourage engagement with the audience. As a result, they learn more and take home important information they have learnt.
Workshops
Together with vegan cook Leah Michaelidis, we have given a series of 2-hour workshops that include both cooking and nutritional presentations. We have done this both on a private capacity and on behalf of charity organisations. Topics have included how to manage anxiety; fermented foods; how to deal with stress, healthy snacks, etc.
Mini consultations
30mins
These 30-minute consultations are carried out with employees who have a particular health concern, or who would simply like a nutrition MOT. The aim of these sessions is for each employee to take away dietary recommendations so that they can start to make positive steps towards good health.
Kitchen detox
This is the perfect opportunity to see what is in your cupboards, and to select which foods are healthy, and which are not. By being organised in the kitchen, it makes it so much easier to make the necessary changes to improve your health!
